Furigana Generation
Automatic reading annotations for kanji to help you learn pronunciation in yomeru.ai.
Furigana — the small hiragana characters that appear above kanji — tell you how to read characters you haven't memorized yet. yomeru.ai generates furigana automatically for every piece of content you open, so you never have to guess at a reading.
Always on
Furigana is generated for all content automatically — no extra steps needed.
Context-Aware Readings
The same kanji can have different readings depending on context. For example, 今日 is read as きょう (today) rather than こんにち in most contexts. Our system picks the correct reading based on the surrounding text, so you're not just getting a generic dictionary reading — you're getting the one that actually applies.

Learning Tips
Furigana is most useful when you treat it as a safety net rather than a crutch. Try reading the kanji on your own first, then glance at the furigana to check yourself. Over time, you'll find yourself relying on it less as characters become familiar.
For words with unusual or special readings (当て字), furigana is especially valuable — these are readings you can't predict from the kanji alone, so having them displayed saves you from confusion.
